Utah administration filed case against TikTok
The US state of Utah has filed a lawsuit against TikTok considering the safety of its children and the Chinese ownership of the media. News CNBC.
According to reports, Utah Attorney General Sean Reiss called TikTok an 'addictive product'. In addition, it has been mentioned that the relationship with the Chinese owned company ByteDance is misleading the users.
The state has recently enacted some of the strictest social media laws in the US. This includes parental permission for the child's use of social media.
The lawsuit compares TikTok to a 'slot machine' where 'dopamine manipulation' is carried out by swiping videos.
